Our accomodation is situated in the centre of paleokastritsa, 50 metres away from a beach. The house has (2) two apartments with big balconies and amazing sea view of Paleokastritsa.

We had a wonderful time! I truly never had such a good experience with a host before. Athina is a very special, kind and warmhearted person and we were never short on great advices, fresh home made olive oil, extra bedding, contacts, help... the list could go on! the place is neatly kept, i was particularly happy about the extra care of excellent bedding, matress and super comfortable abundant pillows! so much love and care! the view from our apartment was painting a big smile on our faces: free ocean view into the bay! just some meters to the beach. we spent the days on the terrace, eating , talking, then stopping over at Athina' s sister's restaurtant Nausika for a special catch of the day meal. thank you so much ; Athina, for this beautiful time!

Paleokastritsa
Paleokastritsa is located on the northwest coast of Corfu, 25 km from the I.Kapodistrias airport as well as from Corfu town. The resort is hilly and nestles beneath the folds of steep verdant slopes of olive groves and citrus orchards.
Paleokastritsa has long been considered one of the most beautiful villages in Corfu and is a renowned Greek beauty spot. There is all the kind of services, restaurants/tavern’s, super-markets, cafes, shops, small bars, covering all the needs for the in depended traveler. The resort also offers a lot of accommodation options for families and couples in a wide range of prices.

At the northern most promontory (Agios Spyridon) lies the 12th century monastery of Theotokos. The Monastery stands on a sheer hillside full of wild trees and olive trees facing the deep blue sea. (Read more) In one of the cells in the monastery, a museum has been founded where holy and precious relics of the monastery are housed. Magnificent views are obtained from both the monastery and the hills above, particularly from the village of Lakones.
The monastery Theotolos Monasterywas founded in the 13th century, but there is little to been seen today which is more than 200 years old. Inside however, the modern building is an excellent example of Greek monastic architecture.
There is an arched inner courtyard, and a small museum with Byzantine and post-Byzantine icons.

Things to Do
It’s a ruin at the end of the day but quite a nice one. However, it’s definitely worth the hike up to it – it’s situated at the top of a rather large rock – because you’ll be Angelokastrorewarded with a spectacular view of the bays around this beautiful part of Corfu.
The fortress dates back to the Byzantine era and sits about 700 meters high, joined to the mainland by the narrowest of channels. It has a shrine, a chapel and a hermit’s cell. It’s pretty spectacular at sunset.

A 17th century monastery in Paleokastritsa is a popular tourist attraction for visitors who want to do a bit of exploring Monasteryduring the cool hours of the day. It’s a beautiful building as most Greek churches are and untouched for four centuries.
It’s quite nice to take a book for a relaxing read when you reach it.

Exploring the area around Paleokastritsa on foot is the best opportunity to experience the natural beauty. There are plenty of rural tracks and mountain footpaths to choose from, depending on the level of difficulty and the distance you wish to cover.
Some renowned routes are Paleokastritsa-Lakones, Paleokastritsa-Aggelokastro and Paleokastritsa-Liapades. All routes will definitely reward you with astonishing views, the tranquility of walking through olive groves and the images of the traditional villages you will meet along the way.
